A 2007 ATSSA Innovation Award winner, IntelliStrobe’s WS1-AG/TM trailer-mounted automated flagger assistance device features both the stop/slow paddle and the red/yellow lens signals, which are located horizontally over the paddle. The trailer-mounted systems are activated remotely by a transmitter carried by an operator directing traffic through the work zone. A gate arm automatically deploys when the red light is activated or the paddle rotates to stop. A safety alert system that is both automatic and operator-activated provides protection for workers and motorists in case the work zone is violated. Trailers can be pulled in tandem to jobsites with a specially designed nesting hookup.
